Resume starts with the job description and not from you

Please under stand that your ability to establish the connect with the actual requirements of the employers is the secret to good resumes.

Understanding the employer's perspective and then creating a resume that highlights the aspects they are looking for is necessary to have your resume shortlisted.

Use Bullet points

People like to read short concise sentences and not long essays.
Use bullet points in the resume and you will immediately increase readability and response rates.

Use the first page wisely

The first page is the most important. Many people waste the space on the first page with address and personal details.

This can go at the end.

The first page should solely focus on the keywords the employers would be looking for.

Add a summary of profile in the beginning

A summary of profile allows you to add as many key terms that are relevant to the job.

This you can work on and refine till you are confident it can establish your suitability.

A good way is to write 5-6 sentences including your Qualifications, Experience details and specific skills.

Add an objective

Most people do not add and objective and even if they do they do not use that to establish connect.

You can add and objective that specifically states the job role you are looking for so that the employers (as well as job board software) can filter accordingly.

For eg.
Objective - To obtain a position as a Marketing Head where my project management and interpersonal skills are utilized.
